It was drama at the weekend between OGC Nice and Nantes in the Ligue 1 and the visitors would have felt hard done with victory snatched from their grip in the final moments of the game.

Nantes would argue they were at the end of two major Refereeing decisions that cost them points.

The Canaries also had two sending offs that came after the final whistle.

Controversy started with the Center Referee waiving away a penalty call, even after a second opinion through VAR.

It didn’t deter the visitors who went on to break the deadlock five minutes after the restart.

Moses Simon teed up Cameroon’s Ignatius Ganago (49′) for the goal, the latter’s sixth goal contribution this season.

Simon has now provided 4 goals and 2 assists in Nantes’ league campaign this term.

Nantes have won only one of their last five Ligue 1 games and though they were running away with at the Allianz Riviera, there was late drama.

In stoppage time, Antoine Kombouaré’s side had a penalty awarded against them and from the resultant kick; Nicolas Pepe converted to earn his side a point.

The French Cup winners are now 15th in the standings and are only two points from the relegation zone after 12 rounds of games played.
