Kwara United Captain Kabiru Balogun says he favors the new law of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) that sees a 3 point-deduction from Violent conduct during league matches.

Interim Management Committee chairman Gbenga Elegbeleye had disclosed that a three points deduction will be the penalty for Violence in home games as against monetary fines that has been the norm.

There have been clamours from some corners that the IMC approves double punishment of points reduction and fines instead.

Speaking with FL on the directive, Balogun believes that it is a step in the right direction ahead of the start of the NPFL league season.

The Kwara United Captain has charged the IMC to strictly enforce the rules and regulations, and ensure transparency in match officiating.

“As for the important thing in the league, the IMC should address the rules to deduct three points if you fight at home, that one is good, if they don’t change it,” Balogun said.

“The IMC should follow the rules and regulations they lay down, it will be better if they don’t change it.”
