Former Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama believes the scrutiny and repeated comparisons between goaltenders Francis Uzoho and Maduka Okoye with his era in the team are unfair and will create unnecessary pressure.

Enyeama stated the increasing pressure on the young Goalies will spiral into wanton attacks on the professionals and such could create ill will for them.
The 2013 AFCON winner was capped 101 times for Nigeria and made two World Cup appearances.
Criticisms of Nigeria’s current goalkeepers took a different turn following the errors that led to both Nigeria’s ouster from the AFCON in Cameroon and Thomas Partey’s goal in the World Cup play-off match.
The latter also gave the Black Stars the ticket to Qatar at the expense of Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
Speaking in the aftermath of the Tuesday’s heartbreak, Enyeama stressed that the no two goalkeepers are the same and the current Players in the team should be allowed to make their way.
