Cyriel Dessers was denied his first goal with Cremonese in the Serie A, as the team battled to a goalless result with Sassuolo.

Dessers showed some impressive foot work to evade his markers and the goalkeeper before slotting home the ball, but the Nigerian was adjudged to have been offside after a Video review.

The 27 year-old featured for only seventy-six minutes on Sunday, but he had been a thorn in the side of the opposition defence.

He logged in 2 shots, 1 interception, 1 block, 31 touches but also lost possession six times – the most in the game.

Meanwhile, the outcome of Sunday’s game at the Giovanni Zini Stadium saw Cremonese register their first point of the Serie A season after five rounds of matches.

His compatriot and strike partner David Okereke started and was also taken off in a double substitution by Manager Massimiliano Alvini.
