Despite pulling 10 big saves, Okoye’s heroics undone by PSV

Maduka Okoye put in a stellar performance in the Eredivisie match between Sparta Rotterdam and PSV on Sunday at the Philips Stadion.

Okoye conceded two late goals as Sparta lost 2-1, but the Nigeria definitely made the result respectable.
The 22 year-old made a staggering 10 saves, five in each half and it is a season record so far this term.
However, Ibrahim Sangare finally breached the shot-stopper with 8 minutes of regular time left.
Ryan Thomas then doubled for the hosts in the 86th minute before the visitors got a consolation goal; Lennart Thy scored in the 90th minute.
It was the 8th appearance for the Nigerian but he continues to search for his first clean sheet of the season.
