Despite Nottingham Forest’s best efforts, Liverpool was just a team too much to handle, as the Reds ran out with a 3-2 victory.

After a goalless first half, no one would have seen a 5-goal thriller in the second half coming and it started when Diogo Jota scored 2 minutes into the second half, but Neco Williams responded with a brilliant equalizer.

Once again it was Jota that put Liverpool ahead in the 55th minute to cap off a frenzied ten minutes.

However, the joy was short-lived as Nottingham Forest came up with another equalizer this time through Morgan Gibbs-White. But, just three minutes later Mohamed Salah restored Liverpool’s lead and made it 3-2.

Liverpool held on to the lead and Nottingham Forest had nothing to show for all their efforts.

Taiwo Awoniyi started the encounter and was hardworking, he helped defensively and also a threat with his hold up play. He played for 87 minutes before he was substituted for Sam Surridge.

Emmanuel Dennis was also sent on to try to grab another equalizer in the dying stages, but did not have enough time to Influence the game.

The result see Nottingham Forest drop back into the relegation zone in 19th.
