Tottenham Hotspur have received good news from the injury front, as the London-based club’s Nigerian-born dazzler, Bamidele Alli is back in training, after a long bout with injury.
Footballlive.ng gathered that Alli has put himself in line for a return to action with the squad this weekend, but his recovery comes too late for Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League trip to Borussia Dortmund.
Nonetheless, Spurs fans would be happy to learn that Alli has returned to training for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury in January.
Same goes for Spurs’ manager, Mauricio Pochettino, who admitted he is excited to see the England international on his way back to the squad.
Alli has not featured for Spurs since their victory over Fulham on January 20, but could now be in line to return away to Southampton on Saturday.
Pochettino said: “I think Dele is close, we will see if it is possible for him to be involved on Saturday against Southampton.”
