Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor have announced the signing of Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel.
Mikel who is on duty with Nigeria at the 32nd Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt agreed a two-year contract with the Turkish side with an option to extend for another year.
“A 2 + 1 year agreement was signed with the free captain of the Nigerian National Team, John Mikel Obi, with one-year option to transfer to our club,” a club statement stated on their website.
Mikel is now the third Nigerian at the club joining Ogenyi Onazi and Anthony Nwaekeme.
