Enyimba FC midfielder Dayo Ojo says the team has learnt from their early exit from the Champions league and will avoid the same mistake, when they take on TS Galaxy in the Confederation Cup playoff this weekend.
Enyimba played out a goalless draw with Sudanese side Al Hilal and went down 1-0 in the return fixture week later.
The result eliminated the two time African champions from Champions league, but dropped them to the second CAF elites competition.
Usman Abdallah’s side are now looking to make up for their disappointing exit from the Champions league when they face South African division side TS Galaxy.
Ojo told www.brila.net that the team will finish the job in Aba in order to avoid a complicated second-leg in South Africa.
“We are going to finish the job in Aba and go to South Africa just to enjoy ourselves,” Ojo said.
“Our inability to get a good home result against Al Hilal in the Champions League affected us, we don’t want the same to repeat itself against TS Galaxy.”
Ojo joined Enyimba this summer from Sunshine Stars, where he spent several seasons.
