For the first time in six months, Cyriel Dessers scored in a competitive game that Feyenoord ended up losing.
Dessers, who joined the Dutch side on loan from KRC Genk, did not start the season with Feyenoord. He has since made nine league appearances as a Starter.
He scored his 20th goal across all competitions on Sunday in the final Eredivisie game, on his return after he was rested last weekend.
The Forward found the back of the net against FC Twente, while Feyenoord trailed 2-nil at home.
There’d be no comeback though and De Trots van Zuid suffered their first defeat since losing 3-2 to Ajax in March – ending their run of 10 games unbeaten streak.
Meanwhile, Cyriel Dessers last lost a game when he scored for the side as far back as December 2021 in the Cup defeat to Twente.
The 27 year-old Nigerian scored 12 goals in that stretch of 21 games.
