Current NFF Board Has PMB’s Backing

Nigeria Football Federation First Vice President gave his view on the match against Bafana Bafana that ended in a 1-1 draw but saw the Super Eagles qualify for next year’s tournament in Cameroon.

 

 

Speaking to footballlive.ng on Sunday, Barr. Seyi said, “I am very happy to have witnessed us qualify having not qualified for the last two editions.”

He added, “I am glad to witness these, although it happened via a draw but regardless we have qualified.”

He went on to credit the talent, skills and ability within the squad, the technical crew and proper preparations for the success.

Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi also praised the President of Republic of Nigeria for his continued support of the National Team which provided the enabling environment for the Nigeria Football Federation to function effectively.

On rumors that the NFF Board had lost the support of the Nigerian President, he said, “When people say the Federal Government is against this NFF board, they are lying. The Federal Government of Nigeria has time and again shown its support to the Amaju Pinnick board.

The Nigeria President was among the first to congratulate the Super Eagles via a message sent within thirty minutes of qualification.
