CS Sfaxien head coach Giovanni Solinas has praised Bayelsa United after his side fell 1-0 to the Nigerian side at the Samson Siasia Sports Stadium in Yenogoa.
Victory Beniangba’s second half goal stunned Juventus El Arab and Bayelsa United extend their unbeaten run at home to 14 games under Coach Diepreye Teibowei.
The home side could have added to their tally but for the lack of cutting edge in the final third and the brilliance of goalkeeper Mohamed Gaaloul.
Speaking after the game, Giovanni Solinas told FL that while the onus now lies with his side to respond in the second leg.
Solinas was impressed with Teibowei’s side, who played the game of their lives, in contrast to their victory against Ashanti Golden Boys.
The second leg is scheduled for Saturday at the Stade Taieb Mhiri in Sfax.
