Zaidu Sanusi was on the receiving end of the battering from Raphael Onyedika, as he and his fellow defenders conceded 4 goals against Club Brugge. Onyedika who was on the other side of the divide gave a good performances in the heart of Club Brugge’s midfield to make things difficult for the Portuguese champions. Meanwhile, Calvin Bassey was the third super eagles player to have represented in his club’s colours, with Ajax. Ajax lost to Liverpool on the night following a late goal from Joel Matip, which ensured that they returned to Amsterdam without a point. All three players, save for Zaidu Sanusi, were on the pitch for entirety of the games on the UCL game week 2.
