Rangers International continued their dismal form in the Confederation Cup following the 4-2 defeat to Al Masry on Sunday.

Egypt’s Masry who maintained their perfect start to the competition raced to a 4-0 lead, with goals from former Warri Wolves striker Austin Amutu, Egyptian duo of Ahmed Yasser and Hassan Ali and Libyan Moftah Taktak.

Rangers got their first goal in the 86th minute when substitute midfielder Eziekwe Chinonso reduced the deficit for the visitors.

Chidera Ezeh thought he had scored, but the goal was credited to Saidou Simpore as an own goal.

Masry, who defeated Nouadhibou of Mauritania 3-2 last week, are now second in the group with maximum points but second best on goal difference.
