The Center Back partnership of Calvin Bassey and Jurrien Timber kept another clean sheet and Ajax sealed back to back wins in the Eredivisie.
Bassey unlike his CB partner Timber played the entire 90 minutes as the champions walked away 2-0 victors at Stadion Galgenwaard against FC Utrecht.
The 22 year-old filled the stats sheet with, 2 tackles attempted, 3 clearances, 2 blocks and 1 aerial duel won.
Ajax scored the first in the 10th minute through Steven Berghuis from a Edson Alvarez assist.
Berghuis then turned provider for the second goal, teeing up Brian Brobbey in the 46th minute for the second goal.
The visitors saw out the game with another clean sheet to pick up their fourth successive win and consolidate their spot at the summit.
