Samuel Chukwueze was a different beast for Villarreal in the side’s game back from the international break.
Villarreal hosted Real Sociedad in LaLiga on Sunday and Chukwueze was a unstoppable, lacking only in an actual direct goal contribution.
The winger won his side’s penalty late in the second half with the game still goalless.
He weaved through three players before he was tackled inside the box, the center Referee didn’t need a second opinion before he pointed to the spot.
Chukwueze was effective on the ball; everything seemed perfect at his feet and he would go on to play the entire duration of the game.
Villarreal secured a comfortable 2-0 win to make it back to back victory’s helped Quique Setien’s side further push for a European spot – currently in the UEFA Europa Conference League place.
