Samuel Chukwueze suffered an hamstring injury on international duties with Nigeria and would be out of action for at least a month.

Chukwueze was invited for the last FIFA international window and even played against Saudi Arabia but struggled to make an impact in that game.

However, he was out of action in the Super Eagles next game against Mozambique in a 3-2 victory over the Mambas.

On returning to Italy, the AC Milan summer buy was confirmed to have picked up the injury, and he would miss a number of games for the club including matches in the UEFA Champions League.

If all goes well, Chukwueze is expected to be fit enough to get a call up into the Super Eagles squad in the next international break next month.
