New AC Milan signing, Samuel Chukwueze has expressed his admiration for Arjen Robben, the legendary Dutch footballer who played for top clubs like Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Real Madrid.

Chukwueze revealed that Robben is his idol and one of the reasons he prefers playing on the right wing.

Having watched Robben’s impressive performances on the right flank while growing up, Chukwueze was inspired by the Dutchman’s skills, speed, and mesmerizing dribbling abilities.

The Dutchman was known for his trademark left-footed inverted play, often unleashing powerful shots that left defenders helpless.

Speaking on his first interview as an AC Milan player, the Nigerian international described Robben as a “fantastic player”.

“I love to play in the right wing. It’s the most important place, you know,” Chukwueze explained.

“When I watch Arjen Robben, he is my idol. I watch him so much. I watched his clips on YouTube.

“He is a fantastic player; the cut-in, the shot, the cross. He is so fast and can dribble anybody he wants to dribble [laughs].

“That is the player I always loved to watch. Although injuries killed him, he is a fantastic player,” the 23 year-old Winger told Milan TV.

Samuel Chukwueze also disclosed that his favourite player from the club’s history is none other than the Brazilian maestro, Ricardo Kaká.

The Super Eagles star expressed his admiration of Kaká’s incredible talent and contributions to AC Milan during his time with the club.
