Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze could be a major doubt for Villarreal in this weekend’s La Liga clash at Levante.
Chukwueze, who was on international duty with Nigeria last week, suffered a knock in the first-leg World Cup play-off against Ghana.
The youngster was replaced late on in the game and the injury confirmed by interim Coach Austin Eguavoen in his presser.
Chukwueze was not named in the matchday squad for the return leg of the encounter against the Black Stars because he didn’t recover on time and there are concerns the situation could keep him out of Unai Emery’s plans for the foreseeable future.
Meanwhile, the exact nature of the injury has not been confirmed yet, but it is expected that Villarreal will disclose more information on the Player’s health.
