Chuba Akpom returns to PAOK on loan for the rest of the season


Middlesbrough have allowed Chuba Akpom leave the club on loan to PAOK in the Greek Super League.

Akpom joined Middlesbrough after a successful time in PAOK, but quickly fell out with Neil Warnock at the championship side a year after joining.

On Wednesday, the club announced in the statement that the 25 year-old was on the move back to Greece.
It read in part:
…He has totalled five in 40 appearances since arriving on Teesside and has figured just once this season.
Chuba is returning to the club where he enjoyed the most successful period of his career – netting 18 goals in 79 appearances and playing a central role in PAOK’s first league title success for 34 years.
The former Arsenal youngster was also a cup winner in Greece and helped PAOK to the brink of Champions League qualification.
