Chuba Akpom scored four times as PAOK THESSALONIKI thrashed Fortuna Sittard 5-1 in a pre season friendly yesterday.

Akpom, 23, who has since pledged his future to Nigeria will hope to keep the momentum going into the new season, in a bid to earn a national team call up.

The forward scored eight goals in all competitions for the Greek Champions last season, helping them to the title.

Another Nigerian, Anderson Esiti who moved to PAOK from Belgian club Gent was also fielded in the six goal thriller.

While Akpom has never featured for the Super Eagles, Esiti has two caps and his last game came in 2016 under Coach Sunday Oliseh.

Akpom though trained with the Super Eagles in 2017, but was not considered good enough for the team by Gernot Rohr.
