Nigeria U20 WNT coach, Christopher Danjuma has expressed confidence in the team he has been able to form and wants to make them formidable ahead of the WAFU U-20 Women Championship in Ghana next month.
Danjuma revealed that the federation would soon announce the opening of the training camp in preparation for the tournament.
“This is the first time we are playing in this competition (WAFU B) and Nigeria is one of the key teams to reckon with in Africa,” the Falconets Coach explained.
“We are still compiling the list, as we seek to have a formidable team and having seen how the U17 played at the World Cup, with some players identified in the league. With this in mind, we will have a formidable team ready for the competition.”
Nigeria will slug it out against eternal rivals and hosts Ghana, Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast.
