Nigerian international Chinedu Obasi was the hero for AIK in the Swedish Cup as he scored two extra-time goals in the 98thand 109th minute to help his team qualify to the semi-final of the Svenska Cupen.
The quarter-final clash ended 2 – 2 after normal regulation time but it was the away team that opened scoring in the 7thminute through Sebastian Larsson while the home side scored the equalizer in the 42nd minute through Dragan Kapcevic and eventually took the lead in the 64th minute when Kapcevic score his second of the match from the penalty spot.
AIK equalized the game just before the end of the regulation time through Daniel Sundgren in the 85th minute from the penalty spot.
Nigerian forward Chinedu Obasi took over the show during the extra time ensuring that the game did not get to the penalty shootout scoring a brace first in the 98th minute and then in the 110th minute of the game.
AIK qualified for the semi-final at the expense Osters IF in a fierce game which ended 4 – 2 after 120 minutes.
