Awaziem, joined Hajduk on August 1 last year, where he made 36 official appearances for the team, with 29 coming in the first team.

The Versatile defender’s debut for the Croatian side was in a 3-1 victory against Vitoria Guimaraes in the third round, first qualifying match of the Europa Conference League.

He went on to contribute to the team’s success, including playing in the final of the Croatian Football Cup against Šibenik, where Hajduk emerged victorious with a 2-0 win in Rujevica.

During his loan spell at Hajduk, Chidozie Awaziem accumulated a total of 2,265 minutes on the pitch.

Despite being a central defender, he showcased his goal-scoring ability by finding the back of the net on five occasions.

His contributions in both defence and attack made him a valuable asset to the team throughout the season.

Now that his loan agreement has expired, Awaziem’s future will be determined by his parent club, Boavista, and any potential transfer negotiations.

“We thank Chidozie for all the good moments, he is a quality stopper and an exceptional professional who raised the level of our game last season. His loan has expired, at the moment we haven’t found a model for continued cooperation, but we will definitely continue to monitor the situation regarding him in the current transition period,” noted sports director Mindaugas Nikoličius for the club’s official website.
