Chelsea of England youngster, Faustino Anjorin was on Wednesday missing from The Blues’ youth team’s line-up against Montpellier of France due to injury.
Footballlive.ng gathered that Anjorin failed to shake off a knock he copped some days back, and was subsequently left out of Chelsea’s side for the UEFA Youth League last-16 fixture at their Cobham training base.
The Blues’ medics confirmed that the Nigerian-born midfielder failed a fitness test and was subsequently left out by the team’s handler, Joe Edwards for Wednesday’s game.
It meant Anjorin has not played for The Blues since January 14, when he copped a back injury, before which the 17-year-old had scored in all the competition matches he featured in this season.
Before bowing out, Anjorin had made his mark in the U18 English Premier League, U18 Premier League Cup, FA Youth Cup, EFL Trophy, Premier League 2 and UEFA Youth League.
