Chelsea midfielder, Carney Chukwuemeka has expressed his willingness to consider playing for the Nigeria National team in the future.

Chukwuemeka, a 19-year-old, born in Austria to Nigerian parents, currently represents the English national team at youth levels and recently participated in the 2023 U20 World Cup.

However, the former Aston Villa player has not ruled out the possibility of representing Nigeria at senior level.

After Chelsea’s friendly match against Borussia Dortmund in Chicago, he acknowledged that playing for Nigeria remains an option, leaving the door open for a potential call-up to the Super Eagles.

“I haven’t really thought that far. At the minute I’m focused on England, obviously, I’ve played for England at youth level, so we’ll see what the future holds,” per Ben Jacobs on twitter.
