Nigeria’s B Eagles defender, Tope Olusesi has blamed the team’s lack of preparation as the reason for their CHAN qualifier loss against Ghana.

The Eagles overturned a two-goal deficit late in the second half of the return leg at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, forcing the match into penalties.

With honors even, the game went into penalties and the Black Galaxies prevailed 5-4 after Maurice Chukwu missed his spot kick.

The Ghana NT were well drilled having garnered game time from a previous tie in the qualifier and their playing tour of Austria before the Nigeria game.

Olulesi decried the short period the B Eagles had to prepare the match while their opponent had a training tour of Austria.

Ghana played an invitational tournament, they also played against the Qatar National Team preparing for the world cup in November.
