CHAN Eagles To Begin Training For Ghana Match

CHAN Eagles assistant coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu has given an update on the team’s preparations for the 2022 African Nations Championship final qualifying match against arch rivals Ghana.
Ilechukwu revealed that the invited players are expected in camp at the weekend for the crucial first leg match.
The Eagles Coach however noted, that the Ghanaians are in better form due to the fact that they have been playing other qualifying rounds while the CHAN Eagles have been resting.
He also noted that the side need to match the Ghanaians’ high level of fitness in order to get a good result against them.
Ghana defeated Republic of Benin to set up a mouthwatering clash against bitter rivals Nigeria in an all or nothing final qualification tie.
Having missed out on the last three editions of the tournament, the Black Stars will be hoping to turn their fortunes around.
The first leg of the encounter is scheduled for August 28, while the return leg which holds in Nigeria will be go down September 4.
