Champions League: Onuachu, Odey play no part in Genk’s draw against Napoli


Nigeria International, Paul Onuachu was an unused substitute in Racing Genk’s goalless draw against  Napoli  in the Champions League Matchday 2 clash on Wednesday.

The Belgian Champions played out a 0-0 draw against the Italians following their 6-2 away loss to Austrian side, Red Bull Salzburg in Matchday One Of the UCL.


Paul Onuachu was a second half Substitute in the loss to Red Bull Salzburg while Stephen Odey didn’t also make the Matchday Squad.


Onuachu has scored three goals for the Belgian Side since his move from Midtjylland in the summer while Stephen Odey, who opened his goal account for KRC Genk in the 3-0 cup win against KSK Ronse last time out has failed to make consecutive Champions League match day squad for Genk this season.


Meanwhile, his compatriot Stephen Odey was not part of the matchday squad at the Luminous Arena against the Parthenopeans.


Onuachu will be looking to line up for Super Eagles as they play the Samba Boys of Brazil come 13th of this month while Stephen Odey, failed to make coach Gernot Rohr 23-man squad for the tie.
