Wilfred Ndidi made his 100th Premier League appearance for Leicester City, who defeated Brighton 2-0 at the AMEX Stadium, on Saturday.
Ndidi was in action from start to finish for Brendan Rodgers’ men as they cruised to their sixth consecutive victories in the Premier League.
Second-half goals from Ayoze Perez and Jamie Vardy helped Leicester maintain their eight points gap behind leaders Liverpool.
The 22-year old, who made a total three clearances, one interception and two tackles, joins Nwankwo Kanu, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Alex Iwobi, Joseph Yobo, Victor Moses and John Obi Mikel in the exclusive list of Nigerians, who have reached the century mark in the Premier League.
At the end of Saturday’s game, Ndidi took to social media to express his excitement:
“Happy to get a win and clean sheet on my 100th premier league appearance.🙏🏾,”he tweeted.
