CCC: Aguda relishing Rangers’ challenge with USM Bel Abbès

Date:

Enugu Rangers forward Godwin Aguda is looking forward to his side’s adventure in the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup against USM Bel Abbès, reports Footballlive.ng.

Rangers defeated Ethiopian Cup champions, Defence Force SC 3-1 on Wednesday in the second leg, preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup to make it a double over the East Africans for a 5-1 aggregate win.
The reigning Aiteo Cup champions have been drawn against the Algerian Ligue 1 side in the first round of the competition, and the skillful machine is relishing the challenge.
“We are really looking forward to the next round, as it will be against USM Bel Abbès,” Aguda told Footballlive.ng.
However, Aguda is wary of the Algerian side.
“We know that this will be a tough game. Statistics show they are a good team and Algeria is a strong football country but we are confident that if we work hard then we know can get past them and into the next round.”
He continued, “The important thing is that we perform to our best and work hard to ensure that USM Bel Abbès don’t hurt us.”
“We are away in the first leg. The important thing is to stay in touch and then we know that we can come back in the second leg. We know that we can do it. To be in the next stage is a great achievement. The most important point is however that we can compete against the best teams in the Confederation Cup.”
The first leg battle will take place at the Stade du 24 février 1956 (Sidi Bel Abbès) on 14th December 2018.
