It was inevitable, Barcelona emerging champions of the 2023 LaLiga season, it wasn’t a matter of when, but how Xavi Hernandez’s men wanted the show to play out.

Dominant, classy and ruthless as they’ve been all season, Barcelona were home away from home at the RCDE Stadium as they secured a 4-2 victory on Sunday night.

It marked Xavi’s first league titles – with many to come perhaps – and next tean will return as defending Champions and perhaps with a stronger squad going by the assurances of President Joan Laporta.

The club has kept it no secret that it wants to bring their former talismanic captain, Lionel Messi, back to Camp Nou.

Yet, while FFP rules and the club’s own constrained funds situation, Laporta is still willing to move pieces, pull string; perhaps more appropriately in this case levers, to ensure Project Messi comes to fruition.

As per Jinjantes the Barcelona President made assurances and it now seems like a commitment.

“We will do everything we can to bring Leo Messi back to Barcelona, I can say that.”

“We are working on viability plan to do our stuff with Financial Fair Play – as we will make a stronger team,” Laporta said.

Meanwhile, this was league title number 27 for Barcelona, but they still have some 8 trophies to catch up with El Clasico rivals, Real Madrid.
