Calvin Bassey has affirmed that he is prepared to do all it takes to ensure that Nigeria defeat West-African rivals Ghana and claim the ticket to the World Cup in Qatar.
Bassey who arrived the Super Eagles camp on Tuesday ahead of the first-leg of the qualifiers against Ghana’s Black Stars has been on song this season for Rangers.
It is the 22 year-old’s second invitation to the Nigerian senior team, initially failing to get minutes on his debut call up.
The versatile defender also stated he is willing to play any position at the back.
Calvin Bassey has made 25 league appearances at both centre back and left back for the Gers this season.
Nigeria is currently camped in Abuja where the all 25 players are present. The team was led in a closed door practice session, Wednesday, and are due to fly out to Kumasi on Thursday ahead of Friday’s game.
