CAF Schedules Visit to Nigeria Over 2025 AFCON Bid

CAF officials are set to inspect Nigeria and Benin as well as three other Countries Bidding to Host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Both Nigeria and Benin submitted a joint bid to host the Confederation’s flagship tournament, but are up against Zambia, Morocco and Algeria in the Bids.

In the visiting schedule released by CAF, their officials will spend 3 days in each country, commencing March 20 with Zambia.

The Official will then proceed to Morocco on March 24, Algeria on March 27, before wrapping up the inspection tour with their arrival in Nigeria and Benin.

The final leg of this initial exercise will run between March 31 though April 2nd.

Nigeria is aiming to host the AFCON for a third time, after previously hosting back in 1980 and co-hosted -the first time in the Competition’s history – with Ghana in 2002.
