Nigeria’s representatives in the CAF Confederation Cup Niger Tornadoes were on Friday eliminated by Guinea’s Santoba FC.
Segun Alebiosu scored a brace for Tornadoes as the Nigerian outfits forced their hosts to a 3-3 draw in Conakry.
Goals from Bah Abdourahmane, Siby Gaousou and Ousmane Camara were enough for the Guinean side to progress on aggregate.
Santoba had defeated Niger Tornadoes 2-1 in Nigeria and the 3-3 draw ensured their passage to the next round with a 5-4 aggregate result.
With their elimination, Enugu Rangers, who are drawn bye for the first round, are Nigeria’s only hope in CAF’s second tier cup Competition.
