Former Super Eagles forward, Victor Ikpeba, has charged Rangers Int’l FC not to compromise the standard which the club is known for when the face AS Pelicans in the second-leg of the CAF Confederation Cup first round qualifier.
Ikpeba meet with the team at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu after their evening training session on Saturday.
The former AS Monaco and Dortmund forward, “Many of you may not know it but Rangers International football club of Enugu is a Nigerian team and an iconic one.
“Rangers must qualify for the next round. It’s even good Rangers scored in Gabon. We also pray that Enyimba qualifies on Friday in Sudan.”
He promised to watch the second-leg match between Rangers and AS Pelican of Gabon on Sunday.
Rangers, in the first-leg lost 2-1 to the host, Nnamdi Egbujuo scored for the visitors and AS Pelican secured the win through an own goal.
