Ahead of his team’s game against Gabonese side, Stade Mandji in the CAF Champions League preliminary round first-leg match, Plateau United striker Jesse Akila feels confident about the team’s chances.
Akila, who could be leading Plateau United’s attack line from the start in Gabon, has set his sights on getting at least a goal, in the encounter which holds on Saturday.
The striker scored nine goals and laid six assists for Plateau United last season to finish second place behind champions Rivers United.
Led by Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu, Plateau United traveled to Gabon on Thursday for their CAF CL show down against Stade Mandji, with confidence brimming high in the team.
A win over two legs will see them progress on to face Esperance in the next round of the competition.
