In Saturday’s Premier League games, Leicester City missed the chance to climb higher on the table as they allowed Brighton snatch a later equalizer at King Power Stadium.

Though they had fallen behind in the 27th minute to Kauro Mitoma’s blinding shot, Leicester fought back and in the 38th minute got a deserved equalizer.

Marc Albrighton was the goalscorer on the occasion and in the second half, the Foxes turned it around when Harvey Barnes hit home a rebound in the 63rd minute.

However, Brighton would have the final say on the day and Evan Ferguson benefited off a superb cross, to finish with a clean header.

Neither Kelechi Iheanacho or Wilfred Ndidi featured for the Foxes.

While Iheanacho was named as a substitute, Ndidi was not listed in the matchday squad.

At the St. Mary’s Joe Aribo was also not given game time, as he watched proceedings from the bench as Southampton suffered a painful defeat to Aston Villa.

The Nigerian midfielder has been left on the bench in the Saint’s last three games.

Aribo, 26, joined Southampton from Rangers as a top prospect. He has made 18 appearances so far and scored 2 goals.

Southampton had a goal chalked off by VAR in the 64th minute, before Villa found the winner through Ollie Watkins thirteen minutes later.

Lastly, Nottingham Forest wrestled a point on the road at Bournemouth to also keep their survival hopes alive.

The hosts scored first through Jaidon Anthony (28′), but Forest pegged them back with the leveler coming in the 83rd minute courtesy Sam Surridge.

Neither Taiwo Awoniyi (injury) nor Emmanuel Dennis were listed for the game.
