Arsenal moved 5points clear of Manchester City at the top of the PL table following Wednesday’s win against Everton at the Emirates.

The Gooners put four past Sean Dyche’s men dropping the Toffees back in the relegation zone, just weeks after the shock 1-0 defeat at Goodison Park in the reverse fixture.

However, on Wednesday Mikel Arteta’s side looked primed for business from and kick off, but the opening goal didn’t come until late in the first half.

Bukayo Saka (40′) broke the deadlock and he provided the assist for his side’s second through Gabriel Martinellli (45+1′). Martin Ødegaard (71′) and Martinellli (80′), for his brace, completed the trouncing.

Meanwhile, Alex Iwobi played all 90minutes against his former side in the rescheduled fixture.

Iwobi had 42 touches on the ball and completed 29 passes. A game joint-high 4 dribbles, 1 attempted tackle 1, interception and 1 aerial duel won. But the Midfielder lost the ball 5times, only Saka and Martinellli lost the ball more times (6 each).

The defeat makes it back to back loses for Dyche who took over from Frank Lampard last month, to turn the Club’s fortunes after series of poor results which left them in the red zone.

The 51 year-old English manager has now lost three of his first five PL matches at the Merseyside club.

Next up for the Toffees is a chance at redemption when they travel to the Forest ground for Sunday’s PL match against 13th placed Nottingham Forest.
