Bruno Onyemaechi scored a belter in Boavista’s 2-1 Taca da Liga defeat away to Liga Portugal 2 side Academica Viseu on Tuesday night.
The Quarter-final cup upset could not overshadow Onyemaechi’s 20-yarder drilled into the bottom right corner.
His goal however was simply a consolation, coming in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
But Boavista can put the defeat behind them and look to bounce back quick when they return to league action this week.
On Thursday, the Panthers will face Estoril Praia in a Primeira Liga match away at the Estadio Coimbra da Mota.
The side’s are separated by a single point in the standings after 13 round of matches.
