The biggest hint that Randy Waldrum will remain in charge of the Super Falcons beyond October was given, Friday, by NFF Executive member and Chairperson of the Federation Women’s Football Committee, Aisha Falode.

Falode expressed optimism that the 67-year-old American will sign a contract extension as Super Falcons coach, when he returns to Nigeria for the team’s next official games.

Randy Waldrum’s contract expires on October 30, but the NFF Technical Committee have received directives to enter negotiations with the gaffer.

Falode said in a Live guest appearance on Brila FM, that the Coach arrive Nigeria to complete the signing of his new contract.

“Randy’s contract runs until the end of this month; his contract does not end until the 30th of October, and of course the NFF President has directed the Technical Committee, whose job it is to engage coaches for employment or renegotiation of their contract.

“He has directed that they start engaging Randy and look towards renegotiating, extending his contract and signing a new one with him. I’m sure that they’ve already started that,” the NFF official stated.

“When he comes to Nigeria; he should be back very shortly to prepare for the Olympic and WAFCON qualifiers, we have one game against Ethiopia on the 25th of this month. When he comes they can dot the Is and cross the Ts.”

“So, I’m sure Randy will still remain the Super Falcons coach,” she concluded.
