Moses Simon and his Nantes teammates celebrated a bounce back victory in Ligue 1 this weekend as beat Strasbourg 2-1 at the Stade de la Meinau.

Simon played the entire duration of the game as Pierre Aristouy’s men recovered from last weekend’s defeat to Rennes to close out the league before the international break.

Last time around it was a road defeat at Rennes that punctured their four-game unbeaten run. But The Canaries did not regrouped and returned to the road and the Northeast.

A fairly decent first-half performance preceded the explosive start to the second where the visitors quickly racked up two goals inside eight minutes.

Marcus Coco (50′) and Samuel Moutoussamy (58′) put some daylight between the sides.

Nantes had entered the game four places behind their hosts, but after their impressive start to the second half, it was clear they’d march back to Brittany with more than pride in the bag – and jumped to one spot above Friday’s opponent.

Somehow, Strasbourg got a consolation strike, Moise Sahi Dion’s goal in the first minute of stoppage, halve the deficit but there was no relenting from Nantes as they defended their lead.

Meanwhile, Moses Simon completed 90 minutes for the fifth consecutive game and though he failed to add to his tally of 2 goals and 3 assists, the 28 year-old put in a better shift than he managed at Roazhon Park.
