Ladan Bosso is a walking contradiction and is attracting all heat that comes with pitching yourself against popular opinion for his comments that Enyimba FC Head Coach Finidi George and embattled Lobi Stars boss Eddy Dombraye both lack the mentality or orientation to lead teams in the NPFL.

Bosso, who previously managed El Kanemi Warriors, FC Ifeanyi Ubah as well as Nigeria’s U20 national team is also the Chairman of Nigerian Coaches Association, but is himself an under-achiever – so maybe he’s speaking from a place of experience?
Now, if you missed his interview on Brila FM’s Sports Machine, Tuesday, here’s a transcript of what he is been called out for all over the football sphere in the Country.
“I have always said that the Nigerian mentality is what is needed in the Nigerian league, particularly the NPFL. Look at what is happening with Enyimba and Lobi Stars, look at the Coaches they hired, Finidi George and Eddy Dombraye.
“They don’t have the Nigerian orientation for the league and that is why they are suffering.
“My expectation was that they’ll have to come and work under some of the Nigerian coaches to learn and acclimatize as assistant coaches then they can develop and graduate to head the teams.
“I call Nigerian Coaches Magicians because if you are not used to the system you will suffer.”
Well, Nigerian coaches are definitely magicians, who can’t perform any new tricks, because they are frustrated by Club chairmen, but still got their jobs. Perhaps this is what Bosso meant?
He’s unapologetic and quite blunt this character, he has earned that but, former Nigerian footballer Duke Udi tore into the Boss of all Bosses in a rant that was as wild as the aforementioned, provocative statement.
Udi had some strong words to describe Bosso’s assessment and called out the double standards and monumental disrespect of an Icon.
“I’m shocked that Ladan Bosso will open his mouth – with all due respect to his office – and speak in such disgraceful and disrespectful manner to Finidi and Dombraye and to Ex footballers who spent their money to obtain Coaching certificates abroad and return (to impact the sport),” said Udi.
“The effrontery to say such a thing because he is the President of the Coaches Association, it’s an unguarded statement.
“He has a small mind. Didn’t Bosso also say Joseph Yobo was qualified to Coach the Super Eagles? Which qualification does Yobo have to Coach the Super Eagles?
“If Yobo can Coach the Super Eagles why can’t Finidi and Dombraye Coach in the NPFL? What’s the difference?
“Most times it’s people who have never played professional football who speak in that manner as he did.”
Meanwhile, Enyimba are 9th on the table after 18 round of matches, prompting the crowd turning on the Coaching crew after the latest league game where the 7 times champions were held at home by Plateau United.
As for Lobi Stars, the Club’s management announced the sack of Eddy Dombraye on social media after Sunday’s defeat at home to Abia Warriors.
The defeat, their fourth in a row, saw Lobi drop into the relegation zone.
