Bonke Injury blow again for FC Lorient

Innocent Bonke was certainly a bigger cause of worry for FC Lorient coach Christophe Pelissier as his side went on to lose 5-0 against Stade Rennes in the Ligue 1 match last weekend.

Bonke, 26, had recently returned from an injury layoff that keep him out for over a week forcing him to miss two games after the last international break.
The midfielder had picked up his previous injury while on international duty with Nigeria in the FIFA 2023 Qatar World Cup.
He then returned, where he played two game before his latest injury.
It is believed the former Malmo FF player suffered an hamstring problem which forced his substitution in the 34th minute.
Although Lorient did go on to lose 5-0 against a 10-man Rennes at the Roazhon Park.
‘It’s really sad and I feel Sorry for our fans who came to watch because we didn’t play the way we should have done in this derby,’ Pelissier offered.
‘It hurt me also that at the end we could not get a result against a team that played with a man less. I asked the players to be decisive but they didn’t listen and this can make one very upset.’
