Juventus gave Malmo a baptism of fire in their opening UEFA Champions League group match, putting three past the Swedish champions at the Swedbank Stadion, and it was somewhat of an underwhelming display from Innocent Bonke and his teammates.

Bonke returned to the starting XI, having recovered fully from the injury scare in the last Allsvenskan league match.
He however only played for Seventy-five minutes on Tuesday night, contributing 2 attempted tackles, 2 interceptions and 3 blocks in that duration.
The Nigerian’s performance was one of the few better ones for Malmo on the night as the team managed to recover after a disappointing first half.
Jon Dahl Tomasson’s men were hit for two in the first half, goals from Alex Sandro (23′) and a Paulo Dybala penalty late in the half putting Juventus firmly ahead.
After the restart, Alvaro Morata extended the lead, scoring the third (46′) to put the icing on a dominant display by the two-time UCL winners.
Next for Malmo in the competition is a trip to Russia where they’ll face Zenit Saint Petersburg, who themselves lost 1-0 to defending champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
