Super Eagles invitee Victor Boniface, has been rewarded for his impeccable performance last month for Bayer Leverkusen with a double nomination for two Bundesliga awards.

The first Nomination is for the Bundesliga Player of the Month award for August 2023.

Boniface was nominated alongside Bayern Munich duo Harry Kane and Alphonso Davies, Wolfsburg striker Jonas Wind, Union Berlin forward Kevin Behrens Union Berlin, and RB Leipzig defender Benjamin Henrichs.

Additionally, the 22-year-old striker is in contention for the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month honor, alongside goalkeeper Noah Atubolu and RB Leipzig’s midfielder, Xavi Simons.

Impressively, the Bayern Leverkusen forward has enjoyed a stellar introduction to the German top-tier league, contributing to six goals in just his first three league matches.

This achievement places him in a select group, becoming the third player in Bundesliga history to record a six-goal contribution in their opening three games.

Notably, he has been called up to the Super Eagles squad and could get the opportunity to make his debut when Nigeria faces São Tomé and Príncipe in the final group match of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign on Sunday.
