Nigerian duo, Emmanuel Gift Orban of KAA Gent and Royale Union SG’s Victor Boniface faced off in the Jupiler Pro League but none were able to score in the match for their respective clubs as the match ended in 1-1 at the Ghelamco Arena.

Royale Union SG grabbed the opener through Jean Lazare Amani in the very first minute of the game with an assist from Boniface.

They would take the lead into the break, with KAA Gent unable to provide a response before the referee signaled for half time break.

Boniface was subbed off for Nilsson Gustaf in the 65th minute of the game as the manager also looked to add fresh legs, with their continental engagement coming up during the week.

The game looked to be swaying the way of the away side and they only needed to hang on for another 10 minutes to wrap up 3 points, but for Hugo Cuypers’s penalty levelling things up for the home side, for the sides to share the spoils.

Gift Orban was replaced by Fortuna Nurio just three minutes after the equalizer as the game winded down.
