When Victor Boniface face Club Brugge in the Jupiler Pro League Championship Playoff, he had only one thing in mind. Inspire Union SG’s win.

Union SG have failed to get a victory against Club in their previous seven meetings across competitions since 2006.

But all of that changed on Saturday as Boniface grabbed the game’s first goal in the 41st minute and Lazare Amani doubled for the visitors in the 46th minute.

Club Brugge halved the deficit but it was only a consolation, when Hans Vanaken scored in the third minute of stoppage time.

The win ensured Union tie leaders KRC Genk on 41 points, but the latter gave a game in hand.
