Fresh off his impressive performance for Nigeria in the international break, Victor Boniface returned to club duties with Bayer Leverkusen.

Boniface earned a starter’s spot against Wolfsburg on Saturday and celebrated his League award for an amazing September with an assist to put the League leaders ahead.

Though Leverkusen eventually won 2-1, the Nigerian didn’t improve his goal tally, nonetheless he stays third in the goal scorers’ standings with 7 goals and 3 assists.
