Simy Nwankwo and Joel Obi both came off the bench in the second half for Salernitana, but the newly promoted side allow a slim advantage slip and all three points with it in the defeat to Bologna.
The Forward was brought on in the 64th minute while Obi was an 82nd minute decision.
Salernitana took the lead in the second half, Federico Bonazzoli (52′) from the spot. This after both teams were both shown red cards Salernitana in the first half and Bologna in the second.
However Bologna levelled seven minutes after going behind, Lorenzo De Silverstri with the equalizer.
Salernitana regained their lead in the 70th minute this time through Mamadou Coulibaly, but were soon again pegged back.
Marko Arnautovic with the goal in the 75th minute before De Silvestri scored his second and the third for Bologna.
